So what is online-site.net, or rather what will it become ?
Online-site.net is a collection of various websites, which are designed to work together to provide a content rich web of information on various topics.
Topics that will be covered by the Online site Information gateway will include things like 'An introduction to Search Engine Optimization', examples of how to monetize a website, computer support information, how to cope with life in the internet age, plus many many other topics
The Online site Information gateway isn't something that is just going to appear and be completed over night. It is going to take a considerable amount of time to develop into a completely useful resource. Topic subdomains will be added over time as and when the content is ready.
We've chosen to implement the various topic areas as subdomains, this allows use to host them on servers around the world. Our thinking behind this is that if we've got a topic area that is say aimed at an American audience then we can host the subdomain in the US likewise, a topic purely of interest to Australians can be hosted in Australia. This makes the targeting of those topics in the Search engines easier - at least we think it will - we're convinced that some geo-targetting of the Search Engine results looks at where the website is hosted as part of the results algorithm
We're still working on an interface to allow you to search through the various sub-sites from one single homepage.
